Description

This tour is totally unique and is like no other offered in New Orleans. More of an academic tour than a spooky tour, it focuses on the misunderstood and often feared religion of Voodoo. You will learn about the origins of Voodoo, how it came to New Orleans, how it is practiced, and where it stands today. You will also meet Voodoo practitioners and learn why New Orleans Voodoo is very different from the purer form found in Haiti and Africa. This tour is offered at 19:30 on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, and last approximately 1.5 hours long. The tour departs from Rev. Zombie's Voodoo Shop, located at 723 St. Peter Street in the French Quarter.
