Description

Travel with us as we explore Nashville, Tennessee, from the Centennial Park with its own Parthenon to The Farmer's Market. Visit Fort Nashborough and learn about the early settlers. Next, learn about one of the greatest Country Western Singers of all time at The Johnny Cash Museum. Finish the day with a visit to the RCA Studio B, where legendary artists recorded. Learn how Jack Daniel's Whiskey is distilled with a visit to their distillery, not forgetting to try a sample or two! A visit to Nashville would not be complete without spending some time at The Country Music Hall of Fame, where we'll learn about the greatest artists of all time. Our trip takes us to Memphis, the heart and home of blues, soul, rock and Rock N' Roll. Next, we'll visit Graceland - the home of 'The King', Elvis. Today, we'll visit SUN STUDIOS where rock & roll was first recorded. Listen to recordings from Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and B.B King. Next, we travel to Jackson, MS, 'The City with Soul', and named after the 7th president - Andrew Jackson. In Natchez & Baton Rouge we'll see 19th Century vast plantations and see how the enslaved people worked. We'll explore grand houses with rich decor. In the evening, we'll arrive in New Orleans and visit one of its many jazz clubs. Feel the influence of Louis Armstrong on an unforgettable evening. Today we'll explore New Orleans and Mardi Gras. Our tour is perfectly timed to coincide with the rehearsals for the largest Mardi Gras in the world. Watch the parades and see street performers practicing their skills. As we travel through the city, we'll observe the fantastic architecture the city has to offer like St. Louis Cathedral, The Caesars Superdome and beautiful historic homes. What better way to spend your last afternoon than traveling with us through the swaps of Louisiana on an airboat. See crocodiles aplenty as well as wildlife like herons, turtles and sometimes even snakes! An amazing 6 days you will never forget.
